Chiswick/Kew/Strand-on-the-Green/Hammersmith
Totally different places, but are counted as one. (Strand-on-the-Green is counted as one place with Chiswick or Kew, normally).
Hammersmith is the most easterly one. It is a transport hub for buses and the tube. It is home to Hammersmith Bridge, Hammersmith Bus Station and is used as a shopping destination and an interchange for some people in the story.
Chiswick is the one place which is used very frequently as indeed, a few characters live there. The place is a quite expensive, middle class area with a secondary school which doesn't reflect the real Chiswick. It is also home to the Chiswick Brewery, home to most of the beer of London. It is a nice place, with some great housing worth £1million sometimes, or around that mark. Some may say it is the cheaper version of Kew, but this is because Kew would probably upper-class territory. It has some great greens and parks. It is through Conservative territory, sadly.
So is Kew. Kew is the place where 'Felix' lived. It is noted as the expensive version of Chiswick. It has the same look, feel and atmosphere as Chiswick, but at a greater price. It is also home to the Kew Botanical Gardens (Kew Gardens) and the Kew Bridge. The place is concidered a rip-off,when Richond and Chiswick are better connected, and a bit cheaper.
Strand-on-the-Green is actually not mentioned in the story as much as it should be, as all of it is probably in Chiswick or North Kew. It is, however, close to Chiswick South Station.
